Privacy Policy

This policy describes how TrackRax actually handles your data today, in plain language. TrackRax is an independently built product; this is not a substitute for professional legal advice, and it will be revisited as the product grows.

What we collect

When you create a TrackRax account, we collect:

Your email address — used to sign you in and, if you enable them, to send renewal reminders or your weekly spending digest.
A display name, if you choose to set one.
The subscription and transaction data you enter — names, prices, categories, and renewal dates for subscriptions you tell TrackRax about, plus any transactions you log manually.

TrackRax does not connect to your bank account or card, and never sees your real payment credentials. Every number in TrackRax is something you've told the app directly.

How we use your data

To show you your own subscriptions, spending, and insights inside the app.
To send you renewal reminder emails and weekly digests, only if you've turned those on in Settings.
To keep your account secure and functioning.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who else sees your data

TrackRax relies on a small number of service providers to operate:

Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication.
Resend — delivers the reminder and digest emails you opt into.
Google — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google handles that authentication step.

These providers process data on our behalf to make TrackRax work — they don't use your data for their own purposes.

Your data, your control

You can export all of your subscription and transaction data as a CSV file at any time, from Settings.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, from Settings. This is a real, irreversible deletion — not a deactivation.

Security

Your data is protected by row-level security rules that ensure only you can access your own subscriptions, transactions, and account details — not other TrackRax users, and not us, outside of what's needed to operate the service.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of TrackRax after a change means you accept the updated policy.
